Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy conducted a visit to address national troops in the Donetsk region on the start of the week. The president confirmed that he met with warriors at the military base of the initial brigade of the Ukrainian National Guard Azov, which is managing protective maneuvers in the Dobropillya area, an urban center approximately a short distance from Pokrovsk.

Critical Conditions in the Area

Updated analysis from a Ukrainian project indicated that invading troops had made gains into Pokrovsk and nearby locations, though significant areas remained beyond firm control by either side. The conditions are severe, with reports indicating that Russian forces were fortifying positions and building up positions in certain areas.

Opposition armies are pushing forward in the Pokrovsk sector and seem to be functioning with growing ease within urban Pokrovsk.

Research institutes noted that Ukrainian forces had liberated a significant portion of a enemy advance in the Dobropillya direction, on the eastern edge of the Pokrovsk campaign.

Kyiv's Drone Strikes Inside the Federation

National unmanned aircraft targeted a production facility approximately 1,300km inside Russia at the location. Local officials announced a detonation at the industrial complex that caused its water treatment facility to suffer damage, adding that the origin of the detonation was undetermined. Zelenskyy's Appeals for International Support

The Ukrainian president urged the US to remain open to supplying Kyiv with extended-distance arms. Addressing a European Union summit from the Pokrovsk area, the head of state also requested more global measures on the federation – including on Russia's gas and nuclear sectors – and said he sought accession to the union by the end of the 2020s.
